Frequently asked questions
Results, reliability, honesty. We pride ourselves on making the customer feel as comfortable throughout the whole process. We provide customers with regard updates, photos of every stage of the build and true dyno results.
Every engine we build is broken in on our engine dyno, this is a controlled loaded simulation.
Rings are settled in the first 5 minutes, flat tappet cam require an additional 10 minutes which we conduct in a loaded simulation. After this, engines are brought up to full acceleration to make sure all parameters are met. Full power testing begins, in this mode we will run at least 10-15 times. Between these tests valve train is check and finally checked once completed.
So once the dyno testing is complete, its now ready to raced.
Every engine get a spec page, advising oil type, intervals, valve lash, timing etc.
See attached form! We suggest you keep this form handy it will answer a lot of your questions.
Best to check you spec page. See attached form!
NNNNNNOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! Rev limiters are an engine protection device use to save an engine in case of emergency. Pushrod V8 suffer the hardest from rev limiting. Constant rev limiting will significantly reduce your valvetrain life. In a blown alcohol application one touch of the rev limit will destroy the valve spring.
